A dazzling display of reflections and color
This watercolor painting is done on a museum quality textured Clayboard panel. The tempered
hardboard has been sealed with two coats of acrylic emulsion before the acid free kaolin clay is applied. The painting is done on the clay with the finest watercolors and then a protective coating of Kamar
varnish is applied, eliminating the need for glass.
Painting glass and reflections can get very confusing so a complicated sketch is required. I am very pleased with the results. It is definitely a “WOW” painting.
