One of the most identifiable monuments in the Sedona, Arizona area
My wife and I were hiking in the Sedona area in an unusually wet February. Many of the trails

I took some reference pictures so I could do a painting of this monument when I got back to my studio. I used various colors in the shadows to contrast with the red rock. I also painted the sky more dramatic to symbolize the feeling of awe that you experience when you are there.
