Pioneer church built in 1886

Maryhill is a pioneer community on the Columbia River, built by Sam Hill.  It is near the Maryhill Museum of Art which was the residence of Sam Hill and his Romanian princess. It is an impressive castle on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River.  The museum features a collection of Rodin sculptures and watercolors, Russian and Romanian royal icons and jewels, a special collection of more than 100 chess sets and an extensive Native American collection.  In September there is an outdoor art show on the park-like grounds. I will be showing my art at this show. The Maryhill community is now mostly fruit orchards featuring over 20 varieties of peaches, also nectarines, cherries, and apricots.  I live near there and we do a lot of fruit picking and canning.
